The easiest way to ensure this is not the issue is to install an antivirus solution and perform a full system scan, to see what might be slowing down your computer.

Even if there is no malware, here are some good ideas to try which can help computer performance:

  • Check which programs you installed lately and review if you really need them

  • Uninstall the programs you don’t need

  • Whenever possible, configure the programs to keep only features you need

  • Run a system optimizer, which cleans files, cookies, lost files, registry entries

  • Defragment your hard drive
